CAIRO – 09 October 2017: The Egyptian national team finally qualified to the 2018 World Cup in Russia, and many players participated in this historical achievement.

Egypt played eight matches in the World Cup qualifiers` two stages, and there are many players featured in the journey`s squad. Some were chosen as main players and the others were alternatives. The least that Egypt Today staff can offer to them is to list the names of those players who brought joy to the Egyptian people. The list is as follows:
Goal Keepers: Essam El Hadary, Ahmed El Shenawy, Sherif Ekramy, Aly Lotfy, Mohamed Awad.

Defenders: Sabry Raheel, Mohamed Abdel Shafy, Karim Hafez, Hamada Tolba, Ahmed Fathy, Omar Gaber, Ahmed El Mohamady, Mohamed Naguib, Saad Samir, Ahmed Hegazy, Eslam Gamal, Aly Gabr, Ramy Rabeaa, Ahmed Dwedar.
